Steven A. Drizin is a Clinical Professor of Law at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law since 1991. He co-founded the Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth (2008) and served as Legal Director of the Center on Wrongful Convictions (2005-2013). His work focuses on false confessions, juvenile justice reform, and civil liberties.

His research explores systemic causes of wrongful convictions, particularly adolescent susceptibility to coercion, interrogation practices, and policy advocacy for electronic recording of custodial interrogations. Publications span empirical studies of false confessions and critiques of juvenile court procedures.
Scientific awards include the American Bar Association's Livingston Hall Award (2005) for juvenile justice advocacy. He co-authored a landmark amici curiae brief in Roper v. Simmons (2005), which abolished the juvenile death penalty.
