Steve Watson

Professor Steve Watson holds the British Heart Foundation Chair of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Birmingham, leading the Birmingham Platelet Group. His research focuses on platelet receptors, signaling pathways, and translational studies in patients with platelet function disorders. The group has pioneered the identification of the GPVI-FcR gamma-chain complex as the major collagen receptor and discovered the C-type lectin receptor role in lymphatic development.
