Steve Taylor is an Assistant Professor in the Cinematic Arts program at Lipscomb University, serving as filmmaker-in-residence. His career spans music, film, and academia, with a focus on integrating artistic innovation across disciplines. Born in Southern California and raised in Denver, he studied music and film at the University of Colorado.

Notable collaborations include work with Sixpence None the Richer, Newsboys, and Peter Furler.
Awards highlight his impact in both film and music, including the Wilbur Award (2013) and Briner Impact Award (2005). Financially, his Kickstarter campaign for Blue Like Jazz set records at the time with $345,000 raised. Current projects include developing a political comedy film titled The Independent.
