Steve New is an Associate Professor in Operations Management at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a Fellow of Hertford College. His expertise spans supply chain management, process improvement, and the application of lean production systems, particularly the Toyota Production System (TPS), to healthcare and manufacturing. His research explores supply chain transparency, provenance, and ethical/environmental issues within global supply chains. He holds a PhD in visual interactive modeling for decision support from Manchester Business School and has extensive consulting experience with organizations across sectors, including the NHS and National Audit Office.
