Tony Chamblin is affiliated with the Stanley and Karen Pigman College of Engineering at the University of Kentucky, where he serves as an Instructor and Coach for the True Lean program. He retired from Toyota after a 20-year career, holding roles in the Paint department and leading the Production Improvement Team. His expertise includes Toyota Production System (TPS), Kaizen, Quality Circles, Jidoka, Andon, and problem-solving methodologies.
He holds certifications as a Certified TPS trainer, Toyota Global Production Center Point trainer, and Toyota Business Practices (8 Step Problem Solving) trainer. His work with global companies spans industries such as banking and aerospace through the True Lean program. Previously, he organized Kaizen activities, trained team members in foundational skills, and applied TPS to resolve operational challenges across Toyota plants.
Tony’s contributions include leading special projects, supervising process improvements, and fostering continuous improvement cultures. His professional background emphasizes practical applications of TPS principles and Lean Manufacturing strategies in real-world settings.
