Steve Mitchell

Steve Mitchell is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Civil Engineering & Surveying within the Faculty of Technology at the University of Portsmouth. His work bridges coastal engineering with environmental science, focusing on sediment transport, tidal energy impacts, and numerical modeling of estuarine systems.

Recent publications highlight collaborations on coastal lagoon sustainability in West Africa and thematic advancements in the Anthropocene Coasts journal. His work aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to climate action and clean water.
