Steve Amos

Steve Amos is Lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago's Contemporary Practices department. He holds an MFA in Studio Art from the University of Maryland and BFA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

His interdisciplinary practice bridges traditional techniques with digital media, exploring abstraction, representation, and material processes across painting, generative algorithms, and ceramic forms.

Additional instructional roles include directing the Drawing and Painting Department at Lillstreet Art Center and teaching positions at multiple Chicago-area colleges.
