Stephen Witzig

Stephen Witzig is Associate Professor in STEM Education at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. His research investigates knowledge development for science teaching across formal and informal settings, with focus on socioscientific issues and formative assessment.

Research Focus: Sources and development of science teachers' pedagogical content knowledge, socioscientific education frameworks, and student learning processes. Current work bridges research relationships among scientists, teachers, and teacher educators.
