Stephen Vider

Stephen Vider is an Assistant Professor of History and Director of the Public History Initiative at Cornell University. His work explores intersections of gender, sexuality, race, and ethnicity in 20th-century U.S. social practices and domestic politics.

His book The Queerness of Home (2021) examines how American conceptions of home shaped LGBTQ experiences and activism. The work received recognition from the American Studies Association.
