Stephen Townley Holgate is the Medical Research Council Clinical Professor of Immunopharmacology at the University of Southampton’s Faculty of Medicine, holding concurrent roles as Honorary Consultant Physician at Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust. He chairs the Main Panel A (Biomedical & Life Sciences) for the UK’s Research Excellence Framework (REF2014) and leads national and international organizations including the UK National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3Rs).
