Dr. Stephen Robar serves as an Associate Professor of Political Science within the Division of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh. He holds key roles as Pre-Law advisor and director of the "Perspectives on Environment" seminar series, while previously leading the Faculty Senate as both President and Vice-President.
His academic foundation includes:

Dr. Robar's research integrates environmental policy with U.S. political systems, judicial processes, and historical political biography. His scholarly output features three major publications: an international anthology on groundwater management regimes, an environmental policy casebook, and a biography of First Lady Frances Cleveland. Current projects critically examine conservative environmentalism and the theoretical foundations of environmental studies.
As an educator, he teaches 11 courses spanning Environmental Politics, Constitutional Law, Public Policy, and innovative topics like Political Science Fiction.
