Stephen R. McCullough serves as a Justice on the Supreme Court of Virginia and is a Senior Lecturing Fellow at Regent University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts with high distinction and Phi Beta Kappa honors from the University of Virginia, followed by a Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Richmond Law School where he participated in law review and moot court.
His primary research focuses on appellate procedure and criminal law, with extensive publications and lectures in these domains. His scholarship addresses constitutional challenges, judicial review processes, and criminal justice reform.

- Two 'Best Brief' awards from the National Association of Attorneys General
He chairs the Virginia Model Jury Instructions Committee and serves on the Access to Justice Commission, Boyd Graves Conference, and Virginia Bar Association Board of Governors.
