Stephen Phillips

Stephen Phillips is a Professor of Architecture at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and Founding Director of the Cal Poly Los Angeles Metropolitan Program in Architecture and Urban Design. He also serves as a Visiting Professor in the Humanities Department at Art Center College of Design, where he teaches courses on modernism, industrial design, and gaming/entertainment design with a focus on art, architecture, and environmental design.

His educational background includes a B.A. with Distinction in Architecture from Yale University, an M.Arch. from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. from Princeton University School of Architecture. He has previously taught at UC Berkeley, UCLA, SCI-Arc, and CCA.
