Stephen Lycett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anthropology at the University at Buffalo, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. He serves as Director of the Laboratory for Evolutionary Anthropology and Anthropological Archaeology. His research focuses on cultural transmission, social learning, and their roles in human evolution, with a strong emphasis on experimental archaeology. Dr. Lycett holds editorial roles at the Journal of Archaeological Science, Journal of Human Evolution, and Evolutionary Anthropology, and contributes to the editorial board of Science and Technology of Archaeological Research.
