Stephen Loeb is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Windsor's Faculty of Science. His research focuses on supramolecular chemistry, mechanically interlocked molecules (MIMs), and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). He is particularly known for integrating molecular shuttles and rotors into MOFs to create functional dynamical materials. Loeb has been recognized with prestigious awards, including Royal Society of Canada Fellowship and the Best Paper of the Year by the Canadian Journal of Chemistry (2021). His work bridges organic chemistry, materials science, and nanotechnology, emphasizing applications in energy storage, drug delivery, and biomimetic systems.
