Dr. Stephen Henry is an Associate Professor in Residence in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. His research focuses on improving patient-clinician communication around opioids and chronic pain, as well as opioid epidemiology and policy. He leads federally-funded projects analyzing California’s prescription drug monitoring program and opioid overdose prevention strategies. Dr. Henry also chairs the UC Davis Graduate Group in Clinical Research and mentors clinical researchers at the Sacramento VAMC.
