Revd Dr Stephen Hampton serves as Dean and Senior Tutor of Peterhouse, University of Cambridge, overseeing chapel services, pastoral care, and academic guidance for Theology students. He is an Affiliated Lecturer in the Faculty of Divinity, teaching Christian Theology and Church History.
His research focuses on Early Modern Theology, particularly Protestant theological evolution between the Reformation and Enlightenment. Key interests include Anglican Reformed traditions, ecumenical relations, and historical religious controversies.
Dr. Hampton has supervised doctoral research on John Owen's theological works and contributes to major international publications on Anglicanism. His research employs historical analysis of manuscripts and theological texts to explore doctrinal developments.
As Trustee of the Nikaean Ecumenical Trust, he supports ecumenical initiatives between the Church of England and other Reformed churches.
