Stephen Choi is the Bernard Petrie Professor of Law and Business and Director of the Pollack Center at New York University School of Law. He joined NYU in 2005, previously holding roles at UC Berkeley School of Law (1998–2005) and the University of Chicago Law School (1996–1998). His expertise spans Corporate Law, Empirical Legal Scholarship, Judicial Performance Analysis, and Securities Regulation. Choi graduated first in his class from Harvard Law School (1994) and earned a PhD in Economics from Harvard (1997). He has authored influential works in top legal journals and co-founded the Securities Enforcement Empirical Database.
