Stephen Carter is a Quarterly Lecturer in Accounting at the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University. With nearly 45 years of professional experience, he specializes in audit, tax, and consulting services for closely-held businesses, including energy, construction, and manufacturing sectors, as well as nonprofit organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from Santa Clara University.
His professional licenses include Certified Public Accountant (California and New York), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and COSO Internal Control certification. He has contributed to technical training and presentations on nonprofit accounting and auditing, and has instructed courses on audits of closely-held businesses.
