Haoning Richter is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Accounting Department at the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University. She joined in Winter 2019 and has taught courses such as ACTG 12 (Managerial Accounting) and ACTG 11 (Financial Accounting), including designing a new course, ACTG 120 (Accounting Data Analysis and Visualization), launched in Fall 2020.

With over 20 years of experience in Silicon Valley at companies like IBM, WebEx, Cisco, and Oracle, she has held senior roles in external/internal audit, SEC reporting, financial planning, and global process control. She previously served as a board member and executive at Sundiro Holding Ltd. in China, which went public in 1994. Haoning holds active certifications including CPA (California), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Corporate Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP), and COSO Certified. She has been a board member of the Financial Executives International (FEI) Silicon Valley Chapter since 2018.
Outside academia, Haoning is a nationally ranked racquetball player, winning Bronze in the 2020 U.S. Nationals Doubles Tournament. She is a certified racquetball instructor and sponsored athlete.
