Stephen Beus is Associate Professor of Piano in the School of Music at Brigham Young University. A Steinway Artist and internationally recognized concert pianist, he maintains an active career as both performer and pedagogue. He has performed as soloist with major orchestras worldwide and presented recitals across Europe, Asia, North Africa, and the Americas in venues including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, and the Shanghai Oriental Arts Center.
His research and artistic focus lies in piano performance and interpretive artistry, with a deep commitment to music education. His students have gained admission to top conservatories and won national and international competitions. He is known for his natural technique, tonal richness, and originality in interpretation.
Mr. Beus has recorded for labels including Endeavor Classics, Harmonia Mundi, and Centaur Records, notably releasing a complete recording of Samuel Barber's solo piano works.
