Stephen Bayley is ESRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. He holds a PhD from Cambridge, MA in International Education and Development from Sussex, and BA (Hons) Jurisprudence from Oxford.
His research examines child development, education and learning in Global South contexts, with fieldwork across sub-Saharan Africa. Current projects investigate children's executive functions in low-income settings. Bayley has managed research projects for DFID/FCDO, UNICEF, and LEGO Foundation.
His recent publications explore socio-emotional learning assessment methodologies, COVID-19's educational impacts, and adaptability skill development. Prior to academia, he practiced law specializing in infrastructure projects.
