Stephen Barton

Dr. Stephen Barton is an Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis at Kingston University, serving as Course Director for MSc programs in Analytical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis. He holds Chartered Chemist (CChem) and Chartered Scientist (CSci) credentials, and actively participates in the Royal Society of Chemistry as Honorary Secretary of the South East Region Analytical Division.

Qualifications include a PhD in Chemistry (Kingston University, 1988-1991), BSc in Applied Chemistry (CNAA, 1983-1987), and professional certifications in 1994. His research focuses on environmental analytical chemistry, nanomaterials for pollution remediation, drug analysis, and sustainable materials development.
