Stephanie Taylor

Professor Stephanie Taylor serves as Director of Research at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London, and co-leads the Centre for Primary Care. Her work focuses on applied health services research addressing long-term conditions and multimorbidity, with a strong emphasis on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based interventions. She holds honorary Consultant roles with the UK Health Security Agency and Barts NHS Trust, and leads the NIHR School for Primary Care Research’s capacity development initiatives. Taylor has secured over £55 million in research grants and authored 300+ peer-reviewed publications.

Her research spans chronic disease management, primary care optimization, and healthcare policy, with recent projects including AI-driven spirometry interpretation (SPIRO-AID), telehealth for chronic pain (RAMP), and psychological interventions for COPD (TANDEM). She also directs a Wellcome-funded doctoral program for primary care clinicians and serves as Deputy Dean for Research Impact in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.
