Dr. Stephanie Standerfer serves as a Visiting Associate Professor of Music Education at the University of Florida (UF) while on leave from her position as Associate Professor of Music Education at Shenandoah University Conservatory. She also holds an Adjunct Lecturer role in the MME Online program. Her career includes 9 years of K-12 vocal and general music teaching in Colorado and Virginia.

Her research focuses on K-12 music curriculum development, National Board Certification for music teachers, and music literacy pedagogy. She has presented at major conferences including WERA, AERA, NAfME, and NBPTS, addressing topics like standards-based curriculum design, teacher professional development, and program assessment. Publications appear in Bulletin for the Council of Research in Music Education, Journal for Music Teacher Education, and Music Educators Journal.
Teaches courses in Elementary Music Methods, Introduction to Music Education, and online Psychology of Music (MMME program). Previously served as Director of Music Education at Montana State University and Assistant Professor at Northwest Missouri State University.
