Dr. Charles Goldhaber is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Florida, specializing in Early Modern Philosophy, Epistemology, and Kant. He teaches courses such as PHH 3400 (Modern Philosophy) and PHH 5406 (Modern Philosophy 2). His research focuses on skepticism in early modern thought, particularly in Hume and Kant, alongside early modern feminism and the role of philosophy in living well.
Dr. Goldhaber’s work bridges historical and contemporary philosophical debates, exploring themes like Hume’s moderation of pride, Kant’s engagement with skepticism, and the intersection of perception theory with epistemology. His publications appear in journals like Journal of the History of Philosophy and Philosophy and Phenomenological Research.
