Dr Stephanie Maguire is a Research Fellow in Mental Health at Queen’s Communities and Place (QCAP) within Queen’s University Belfast’s School of Social Sciences, Education and Social Work. She concurrently serves as a Lecturer in the M.Sc. Psychology Programme at Ulster University’s School of Psychology. Her work focuses on adolescent mental health, domestic violence prevention, and neurodiverse adolescents, employing community-based participatory research methods. She has developed validated self-report measures (ID-SWEMWS and ID-Kidscreen10) for neurotypical adolescents’ wellbeing assessment.
Dr Maguire holds a PhD from Queen’s University Belfast (2015–2018) funded by the Department of Employment and Learning. She has been recognized with awards including the Commonwealth Summer School Scholar (2016) and the UK Town & Gown Award (2024). Her teaching spans Social Psychology, Qualitative Methods, and Project Design, with postgraduate supervision experience. She actively contributes to initiatives like the Tackling Substance Use Together programme and serves as Director of Fermanagh Women’s Aid.
