Stephanie Lerke

Dr. Stephanie Lerke is a Lecturer for special tasks in the Department of Theology/Evangelical Religious Education at Bielefeld University since 2023. She has held academic positions at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Technical University of Dortmund, and University of Paderborn, where she also completed her doctorate in Protestant Theology. Her work bridges practical theology, religious education, and interdisciplinary research on art, discrimination, and memory.

Research focuses include:

• Inclusive religious education and giftedness promotion
• Post-Auschwitz memory practices in Christian contexts
• Anti-Semitism/racism-critical pedagogies
• Pop culture's theological implications
