Stephanie Leach is a Senior Lecturer in Primary and Childhood Education and Art Lead at Edge Hill University. With 21 years of primary school teaching experience, she specializes in integrating arts, mental health, and inclusion in education. She secured a gold Arts Mark for her former school, collaborated with institutions like Tate Liverpool and National Museums Liverpool, and developed arts-based projects such as The World Reimagined Globe Project and a school sculpture trail. As Mental Health Lead, she co-created the Tackling the Blues wellbeing program, combining art and sport.
- Education: PGCert in Primary Education (University of London, 2002), BA in History of Art (Sheffield Hallam University, 1999)
Her research focuses on anti-racist art curricula, decolonization, and trauma-informed teaching. She leads the Children's Rights and Wellbeing Research Network and trains Early Career Teachers through the Early Career Framework.
External engagements include partnerships with Everton in the Community and roles as a Personal Academic Tutor and placement Link Tutor at Edge Hill.
