Stephanie Brandimarte

Stephanie Brandimarte is the Director of Field and Student Support for the Social Work program at Oakland University's Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work and Criminal Justice. She holds a Bachelors in Psychology (Sociology minor) from Oakland University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, specializing in aging. Her professional practice spans hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice settings, with expertise in grief/loss counseling, mental health issues, and family relationships.

Teaching responsibilities include courses such as Social Work Internship (SW 430/432), Social Work Seminar (SW 431/433), and Introduction to Social Work (SW 210). She currently serves as the program's primary advisor, overseeing field education components critical to student training.

Brandimarte is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) focused on life transitions, gerontological practice, and clinical interventions for anxiety/depression. Her work emphasizes community engagement and hands-on field experience for students through structured internships and seminar programs.
