Stephanie Brandimarte is the Director of Field and Student Support for the Social Work program at Oakland University's Department of Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work and Criminal Justice. She holds a Bachelors in Psychology (Sociology minor) from Oakland University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, specializing in aging. Her professional practice spans hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice settings, with expertise in grief/loss counseling, mental health issues, and family relationships.
Teaching responsibilities include courses such as Social Work Internship (SW 430/432), Social Work Seminar (SW 431/433), and Introduction to Social Work (SW 210). She currently serves as the program's primary advisor, overseeing field education components critical to student training.
