Cheryl Thompson serves as an Assistant Professor of Social Work and Director of Social Work Field Education within the Department of Sociology and Social Work at Taylor University. She passionately guides students in synthesizing academic rigor with spiritual formation, preparing them to serve communities through a Christian worldview.

As Director of Social Work Field Education, she oversees all practicum placements and community partnerships, ensuring students gain transformative real-world experience. Her mentorship emphasizes the practical application of Matthew 22:37-39 in social work contexts, fostering holistic development in future practitioners.
