Professor Stephanie Ben-Ishai, a distinguished academic at York University's Osgoode Hall Law School, is a leading expert in insolvency, corporate governance, and commercial law. She has received international recognition for her work, including the American Bankruptcy Institute Medal of Excellence and prestigious SSHRC and Fulbright fellowships.
- Education: LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, and LLM from Harvard Law School.
Her research focuses on insolvency, debt relief, and the intersection of corporate governance with commercial law, informed by her editorial leadership in prominent journals and advisory roles in law reform. She has authored six books and over 40 articles, contributing to both theoretical and practical advancements in her fields.
