Stelios Yiatros is an Assistant Professor in Structural Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics, Cyprus University of Technology, since October 2011. He previously served as a Marie Curie Fellow at Cranfield Energy, Cranfield University, UK (2015–2017). He is a core team member of the Climate-KIC Cyprus Regional Innovation Scheme and acts as Education Lead for Climate-KIC activities in Cyprus and Greece.
- Research Interests: Modelling instabilities in thin-walled, sandwich, and laminated structures; biomimetic design; sustainable construction; engineering sustainability.
- Teaching Philosophy: Advocates Dan Pink's principles of Mastery, Autonomy, and Purpose to foster student-driven learning through project-based methodologies.
- Professional Contributions: Co-founder of Chrysalis LEAP, Cyprus' first cleantech business accelerator, collaborating with Climate-KIC to organize ClimateLaunchpad national programs for Cyprus and Greece.
