Steffen Pelzel, MA, is a scientific researcher at the University of Siegen's Department of Didactics of Social Sciences (Faculty I), working under Jun.-Prof. Alexander Wohnig. Since November 2020, he has coordinated the FORUM Siegen and is pursuing a doctoral project titled *"Political Epistemology of Sustainability-Related Education: On the Question of Natural and Critical Relationships in Political Didactics."* He also serves as a spokesperson for the POLIS Center for Political and Sociological Education alongside Hanna Butterer.
His research focuses on critical educational theories, political ecology, and the genealogy of political education. Previously, he lectured at the University of Bamberg (2019–2020) and earned his Master’s in Political Education from Johannes Kepler University Linz (2016–2019). He has been involved in interdisciplinary initiatives such as the *"Working Group Psychoanalysis & Criticism"* (since 2018).
