Steffen Barth

Steffen Barth is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Didactics of Social Sciences at the University of Trier's Faculty III. He specializes in historical and political education, focusing on simulation games, digital history culture, and modern board games as teaching tools. His research also explores present/future orientation in history education, narrativity, and the historical aspects of history didactics. Barth holds a degree from the Universities of Mainz and Kaiserslautern, with a decade of secondary school teaching experience before joining academia. He co-edits the journal Geschichte lernen and contributes to textbook development. Barth is actively involved in teacher training in Luxembourg and collaborates with educational organizations like the VGD and GPJE.
