Prof. Dr. Josef Memminger holds the Professorship for History Didactics and Historical Culture at Goethe University Frankfurt am Main since 2021. As Managing Director of the Department of History Didactics, he bridges academic research with practical education. His career spans roles at University of Regensburg (2007-2021) as Academic Director, editorial work with Geschichte lernen journal since 2014, and international collaborations with Masaryk University.

- Key research: Pragmatics of history teaching, narrativity, public history, and digital educational tools
