Steffen Korsgaard

Professor Steffen Korsgaard is affiliated with the Department of Business and Sustainability at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and holds an Affiliate Associate Professor position at the Center for Entrepreneurship, University of Oslo. He serves as a consulting editor at the International Small Business Journal and sits on the editorial review board of Entrepreneurship and Regional Development.

His research focuses on entrepreneurship as a driver of regional development and social innovation, combining theories from entrepreneurship, innovation, human geography, and economics. Current projects include CEED: Circular Economy Entrepreneurship in Denmark and The Role of Organizations in Solving Grand Challenges.

Recent publications analyze prototyping in management research, SDG adoption in social ventures, and entrepreneurial agency in constrained contexts. His work has been recognized with awards including the Outstanding Paper Award (2015) and Best Reviewer Award (2021).

As an entrepreneurship educator, he has taught courses like Scientific Research Processes and Business Development through Design and Co-creation. He provides consulting to local and international organizations, including OECD and municipalities.
