Stefano Parrinello is a PhD candidate at the University of St Andrews, School of Classics, under the supervision of Professor Alex Long. He holds a BA and MA in Philosophy from the University of Turin, Italy, graduating with 110/110 cum laude in both degrees. His research focuses on doctrinal continuity and divergence between Middle Stoics and earlier Stoic philosophy, emphasizing cosmological frameworks. He has presented at events such as the London Ancient Science Conference 2025 and participates in the Turin-Toronto Ancient Philosophy Reading Group.

Research Interests:
Stefano explores the coherence of Middle Stoicism, particularly through figures like Panaetius and Posidonius. He also examines Plato’s influence on Platonist traditions and ancient divination practices.
