Arianna Piazzalunga is a special researcher (postdoctoral) at the Wulf Mansion Centre for Ancient, Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy at KU Leuven. Her work focuses on Ancient Philosophy, particularly Stoicism and Platonism, with an emphasis on cosmology, medical doctrines, and textual interpretation. She holds an ORCID identifier (0000-0003-3803-1446) and is affiliated with the W0W20A Ancient Philosophy research group.
Her research explores intersections between philosophical systems and scientific thought in antiquity, including the role of cosmic pneuma in Stoicism and the significance of Plato's Timaeus in Middle Platonism. Recent publications analyze Late Antique commentaries on Plato and the medical influences on Stoic cosmology.
