Dr. Stefania Vicari is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Sociology and Research Lead at Sheffield Cancer Research within the University of Sheffield's School of Sociological Studies, Politics and International Relations. She holds a BA from the University of Turin, an MA from the University of Leicester, and a PhD from the University of Reading. Her research bridges sociology and media studies, focusing on participatory cultures, health advocacy, and digital methods. She leads the 'Patient experience and voice' theme in cancer research and explores how digital media shape health narratives and activism.
