Stefania Benini is an Assistant Professor of Romance Languages at the University of Pennsylvania. She was awarded the Andrew W. Mellon Penn Faculty Fellow in the Humanities for 2013–2014.
Her research focuses on late 20th-century Italian cinema, particularly the portrayal of intergenerational conflict and scapegoating dynamics in films by directors like Piergiorgio Bellocchio, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and Liliana Cavani.
