Stefan Bartzsch

PD Dr. Stefan Bartzsch leads the Emmy Noether Research Group on Microbeam Radiation Therapy at TUM's School of Medicine and Health. His group develops innovative X-ray sources and radiobiological models to advance preclinical cancer treatments.

Research creates compact high-brilliance X-ray systems and hybrid dose-calculation algorithms. Awards include the Cancer Research UK Pioneer Award (2016) and Emmy Noether grant (2019). Collaborations include Dr. Kim Melanie Kraus on clinical translation projects.
