Stanislav Stankoci

Prof. Stanislav Stankoci is a Slovak graphic designer, painter, and academic. He serves as a Professor and Vice-Rector for Investment Activities at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava (VŠVU), where he also leads the Graphic Design Studio II within the Department of Visual Communication. Previously, he held roles including Department Head (2001–2007) and Rector (2011).

• Education: Graduated from the Department of Applied Graphics at VŠVU (1984) after studies at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Košice (1974–1978).
• International Experience: Study stays at École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (Paris) and University of Industrial Art (Helsinki).

Research Focus: Structure in design, typography integration, and visual communication projects for cultural institutions. Notable works include 330+ design projects (23 books, 88 catalogs, 96 posters) and 47 solo exhibitions.

Awards: 9 recognized accolades for creative work. Active in academic leadership and cultural design collaborations.
