Stacy S. Klein

Stacy S. Klein serves as the Acting Director of Creative Writing and Associate Professor of English at Rutgers University. Her academic work focuses on Anglo-Saxon and medieval literature, with particular expertise in gender studies, poetics, and feminist theory. She is affiliated with the Department of English at Rutgers University, where she teaches courses on Old English language and literature, medieval court literature, and Chaucer.

Professor Klein has been actively involved in academic service and leadership. She served as Executive Director of the International Society of Anglo-Saxonists from 2007 to 2011 and was a member of the MLA Division of Old English Language and Literature Executive Committee from 2009 to 2014. As a founding member of the Anglo-Saxon Studies Colloquium since 2004, she has helped shape scholarly conversations in her field. She also serves on the Alumni Advisory Board for the Department of English at Ohio State University and the Advisory Board for the Old English Newsletter Subsidia, demonstrating her commitment to mentoring and supporting scholarship in medieval studies.
