Andrew Rabin is a Professor and Vice Chair in the English Department at the University of Louisville. He holds a B.A. from Grinnell College and M.A./Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. His research focuses on the intersection of law and literature in early medieval England, particularly Anglo-Saxon legal texts and ecclesiastical writings. He has authored major works like Crime and Punishment in Anglo-Saxon England (2020) and edited volumes on Old English legal traditions. Rabin is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and received the 2011 Best Article Prize from the International Society of Anglo-Saxonists for his work on female advocacy in tenth-century England.
