Dr. Stacy L. Boyer is an Assistant Professor of Management at Moravian University's School of Business & Economics. Her research focuses on social identity threat, intergroup competition, and leadership development. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Moravian University and a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Organizational Behavior) from Drexel University.
Her primary research examines how social identity threats (e.g., stereotype threat) impact women's leadership performance and service employees' behavior. She employs experiments, surveys, and social media data to propose practical solutions for improving workplace relations and employee wellbeing. A secondary focus is on leader identity formation and development strategies.
Recent work includes studies on unethical conduct in organizations and pandemic-related challenges for first responders. She has presented at top-tier conferences like the Academy of Management and Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
