Stacey MacArthur is an Extension Professor at Utah State University, specializing in 4-H and Youth Health & Wellness within the Youth Programs department. She holds a PhD in Family, Consumer, and Human Development from Utah State University (2008), an MS in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from Brigham Young University (2005), and a BS in Recreation Therapy and Youth Leadership from Brigham Young University (1998). She also holds certifications in Mental Health First Aid and QPR Suicide Prevention (2019).
Her research focuses on youth development, financial literacy education, volunteer training systems, and health-focused community programs. She has developed over 50 curricula for 4-H initiatives spanning STEM, family history, health, and vocational skills. Her publications emphasize practical extension strategies and adolescent development frameworks.
She has received 25+ awards, including the Distinguished Service National Award (2017) for youth programming innovation and the Graduate Instructor of the Year (2008). Key leadership roles include directing Utah's 4-H Teen Winter Retreat (2011–2020) and developing the Money Mentors financial literacy program. She actively contributes to national extension associations and community health coalitions.
