Stacey Kaltman

Stacey Kaltman serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Georgetown University School of Medicine and Assistant Director of the Center for Trauma and the Community (CTC). As a licensed clinical psychologist and trauma researcher, she leads NIMH-funded work addressing mental health needs of trauma-exposed Latino immigrants in primary care settings. Her dual focus bridges clinical practice, research, and medical education within academic psychiatry.

Dr. Kaltman’s research centers on trauma psychology with intense specialization in Latino immigrant mental health. She investigates social isolation, cultural barriers to care, and integrated treatment models for PTSD and depression in primary care. Her work examines how ethnic identity buffers trauma effects, develops telemedicine co-management interventions for diabetes-depression comorbidity, and analyzes social networks of trauma-exposed immigrants.
