Dr. Stacey Doan is the Norwood and Frances Berger Professor of Psychology, Business, and Society at an unspecified university. She serves as Director of the Berger Institute and focuses on biological, social, and individual correlates of physical health and psychological well-being.
- Education: Ph.D. from Cornell University, B.A. from Carleton College
Her research examines emotions and stress through the cultural-fit hypothesis, emphasizing person-situation interactions across diverse contexts. She explores social relationships, environmental factors, and adaptive development, with applications to resilience, parenting, and negotiation. Funded by NIDA, NICHD, and NSF, her work appears in top developmental and health journals. Dr. Doan authored the book Social Foundations of Emotions: Developmental, Cultural and Clinical Dimensions (APA Press).
