Linda C. Halgunseth serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Michigan State University's College of Social Science and holds core faculty status in the Chicano/Latino Studies program. Dr. Halgunseth's research program examines culturally sensitive measurement of Latinx parenting practices, inclusive family engagement strategies, and cross-cultural influences on parent-child interactions. She investigates children's health and well-being across African, European, and Latin American family contexts, with particular focus on how cultural frameworks shape developmental outcomes in diverse youth populations.
